After the press conference to present the design of Varese’s new stadium, which stems from the City of Varese-Aurora Stadium synergy, Lombardy Region Governor Attilio Fontana said, “The project is really beautiful and also denotes the ambition of a team like Varese.” Mr. Fontana, the President of Lombardy and a citizen of Varese who is a soccer and basketball fan, appreciated the proposed idea, which would be able to address so many of the city’s needs, including allowing the city to play in the big leagues.
