Nuovo Stadio di Caserta, la giunta comunale ha finalmente approvato il progetto definitivo
On 09/23/2021, the bureaucratic process for the approval of the project for the renovation of the Caserta Alberto Pinto Stadium was completed. The Aurora Stadium project calls for the construction of a 12,000-capacity facility (expandable to 16,000 by Serie A parameters). The main objective of this intervention is to create an urban catalyst that can redefine and redesign the facility from a structure limited to the enjoyment of a single sporting event to a beating heart of activity every day of the week.
In fact, in a note, the City Council confirmed that it had “approved the final project of “Renovation with demolition and reconstruction of the Caserta Alberto Pinto Stadium.” The measure concludes the administrative process initiated with the convening of the Services Conference to arrive at the declaration of public interest and the final design proposal.
On 04/27/2022, the City of Caserta published the call for project implementation, with a deadline of 06/9/2022.
On 08/06/2022, the Proponent submitted its technical and economic offer.
On 30/09/2022, the Evaluation Commission, appointed by the City of Caserta, began its verifications with the convening of the first public session and successfully concluded the procedural verification operations with the last public session on 24/10/2022.
On 02/11/2022, the Municipality of Caserta, through a Managerial Determination, provisionally awarded the tender to the Proponent, a phase that will be followed by the final award with the signing of the Contract and Agreement.
The Renovation Project with demolition and reconstruction of the “Alberto Pinto Stadium” in Caserta, with attached ancillary, commercial and service areas, has become the first project in Italy, unique for this complexity, to have completed the approval and provisional award process, through the use of the so-called Stadiums Law.
